Bobby Parnell has joining the Binghamton Mets this weekend, and he made an appearance against the Akron RubberDucks at NYSEG Stadium on Sunday.
Parnell allowed a double with a strikeout in a scoreless seventh inning. His inning was saved thanks to a good throw by Gavin Cecchini to throw out Tyler Naquin at the plate.
Parnell’s fastball velocity topped out at 94 mph, reports Lynn Worthy of the Binghamton Press and Sun Bulletin.
Parnell has been on the 15-day disabled list all year as he continues to recover from April, 2014 Tommy John Surgery.
