Here’s what I am looking for from the Mets today:
It’s #HarveyDay.
Harvey is running a 16 inning scoreless streak into today’s start, and has been utterly brilliant during this run. He has a 1.23 over his last five starts, a span 36 2/3 innings. Here’s the problem: The Mets have scored 16 runs in each of those five starts, and Harvey is 2-1 during that span.
So, here’s a good plan for the Mets: score some runs for this kid today.
Clean it up on the field.
Enough of the physical and mental mistakes already. They’ve flat out killed this team over their first 43 games, last night being no exception. With the lack of offense, they have to play clean games behind their pitcher, especially since they’ve pitched so well over the first quarter of the season.
