Travis d’Arnaud continues to work his way back from a broken pinky at the team’s minor league complex in Port St. Lucie, and will soon take an important step towards returning to the Mets.
Assistant GM John Ricco told reporters in Pittsburgh d’Arnaud is expected to begin a rehab assignment sometime next week.
D’Arnaud was cleared earlier this week to resume full baseball activities after being cleared by team doctors. He has been on the 15-day disabled list since April 20 after he broke his pinky being hit by a pitch.
