Both Vic Black and Bobby Parnell have struggled with command and velocity as they rehab from their respective injuries in Port St. Lucie.
The plan was originally to shift their rehabs to Las Vegas last weekend to provide them some stiffer competition, but Sandy Alderson has said their struggles have kept them from doing that this week.
But on Thursday morning, Terry Collins said if all goes well in their outings today for St. Lucie against Dunedin, they could shift their rehab assignments to Double-A Binghamton next.
Both will have to show improved velocity and command as well as pitch back-to-back days in order to be considered for activation.
Parnell is on the 15-day disabled list as he continues his recovery from April, 2014 Tommy John Surgery. Black is on the 15-day disabled list with weakness caused by a herniated disc in his neck.
