Last week, Terry Collins said Vic Black would be shifting his rehab assignment to Triple-A Las Vegas on Sunday.

Collins said on before Sunday’s game against the Brewers he was hopeful some stiffer competition at Triple-A might benefit Black as he gets closer to returning to the Mets, describing his situation as being, “boring” in Port St. Lucie.

However, Black has yet to depart for Las Vegas. He remains at the team’s minor league complex in Port St. Lucie and continues to rehab from a herniated disc in his neck, according to SNY.tv’s Rob Brender.

Black most recently pitched on Saturday for Single-A St. Lucie. He allowed a run on two hits and a walk in relief of Dillon Gee, throwing only 9 of his 21 pitches for strikes.

Black is on the 15-day disabled list – he has not pitched this season.
