Three Mets pitchers appeared in tonight’s game for the Single-A St. Lucie Mets at Tradition Field tonight.
Dillon Gee started for St. Lucie and pitched well in four innings of work, allowing a run on six hits with no walks and seven strikeouts. He threw 39 of his 54 pitches for strikes.
Things did not go quite as well for Vic Black, who relieved Gee and allowed a run on two hits and a walk. He threw only 9 of his 21 pitches for strikes.
And, things went arguably worse for Bobby Parnell, who walked two and allowed a run on a hit, throwing 14 of his 28 pitches for strikes.
On Friday, Sandy Alderson said both Black and Parnell would be evaluated in this outing to determine whether or not they would shift their rehab assignments to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Gee is on the 15-day disabled list, rehabbing a strained groin. Black is on the 15-day disabled list, recovering from a herniated disc in his neck. Parnell is on the 15-day disabled list has he continues his recovery from Tommy John Surgery.
