David Wright has not had an easy road since injuring his hamstring on April 14.
He was set to resume baseball activities early last week, but in the process, he strained his lower back and has been shutdown for over a week.
But on Friday, Sandy Alderson offered hope Wright could finally be back on the field at the team’s minor league complex in Port St. Lucie on Monday.
Alderson did not set an expectation that Wtight will resume baseball activities at that time.
Wright has been on the 15-day disabled list since April 15 with a strained hamstring.
