David Wright looks on

This past weekend, Terry Collins said David Wright would be clear to resume baseball activities on Monday after finishing an anti-inflammatory medicine regimen to aid his strained lower back.

However, Wright has yet to do so, and Terry Collins said on Tuesday while Wright continues to improve, there is no timetable for it to happen.

“He’s dying to get back out there, but there’s no real timetable when that’s going to happen,” Collins explained. “The only good news is he feels better.”

Wright has been on the 15-day disabled list since April 15 after straining his hamstring. His hamstring has improved, the team said last week, although he sustained a lower back strain during the rehab process at the team’s minor league complex in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
