Travis d’Arnaud has received some good news about his broken hand.

Assistant GM john Ricco said d’Arnaud was in New York visiting with team doctors, and was told the bone has healed to a point he can resume some baseball activities, according to the team’s beat reporters in Chicago.

He has been cleared to do everything but swing a bat at this time – he will likely resume swinging sometime this week at the team’s minor league complex in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

That could mean d’Arnaud is at least ten days away from returning.

D’Arnaud has been on the 15-day disabled list since April 20 – he was hitting .317 with two home runs and ten RBI before being hit by a pitch on April 19.
