Yesterday in Philadelphia, Terry Collins said David Wright was cleared to resume baseball activities today at the team’s minor league complex in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
However, Assistant GM John Ricco said he did not resume such activities today, instead receiving treatment at Tradition Field, according to the team’s reporters in Chicago.
Wright will be reassessed tomorrow, and it’s possible he could resume baseball activities at that time.
Wright has been on the 15-day disabled list since April 15 after straining his hamstring the night before. He has since dealt with a lower back strain, although an MRI late last week revealed no structural damage.
