BaronOn Friday, Terry Collins expressed minimal concern over David Wright’s strained lower back, expressing hope he would be back on the field on Monday.

It would appear his hope has been rewarded.

Collins said on Sunday Wright has completed a series of anti-inflamory medication and will resume baseball activities at the team’s minor league complex in Port St. Lucie, Florida tomorrow.

Sandy Alderson had said previously Wright would need five rehab games with no issue before being considered for activation.

Collins did not say when Wright might begin a rehab assignment.

Wright has been on the 15-day disabled list with a strained hamstring.

The club has said Wright’s hamstring has progressed well recently, but was shutdown temporarily after straining his lower back last week.
