

On Saturday, the Mets officially placed RHP Dillon Gee on the 15-day disabled list with a mild groin strain.
Gee strained his groin during his last start against the Nationals at Citi Field last Sunday. He is 0-2 with a 3.86 ERA in five starts this season.
The Mets recalled RHP Noah Syndergaard from Triple-A Las Vegas and will take Gee’s place on the active roster.
Syndergaard, 22, was 3-0 with a 1.82 ERA in five starts with Triple-A Las Vegas, having allowed six runs on 20 hits with eight walks and 34 strikeouts in 29 2/3 innings.
