Bobby Parnell’s return from Tommy John Surgery a year ago has hit several bumps in the road over the last two months.
He suffered a hamstring strain in March which slowed his throwing program down, and most recently he suffered a forearm strain which has delayed his return as well.
But Parnell has made some progress this week – he threw a bullpen session on Thursday, and Terry Collins expects him to resume pitching in rehab games soon, he told reporters in Philadelphia today.
Collins did not say when Parnell would be activated.
Parnell is on the 15-day disabled list.
