Mets RHP Domingo Tapia’s season is officially over.
Tania underwent Tommy John Surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery this week, according to Mike Puma of the New York Post.
Tapia, 23, appeared in just three games for Double-A Binghamton this season. He allowed eight runs on five hits and eight walks in only 1 2/3 innings for the B-Mets.
He made 21 starts for Single-A St. Lucie in 2014, going 6-8 with a 3.96 ERA with 56 strikeouts and 51 walks in 109 innings.
