Sandy Alderson recently said the earliest David Wright could return to the Mets was next Friday in Philadelphia, but called that date, “aggressive” in terms of his timetable.

Wright has been resting for two days in Port St. Lucie after resuming baseball activities earlier this week. He was said to be running at 70 percent before breaking.

Wright is expected to resume baseball activities today in Florida, according to the St. Lucie Mets official scorer Bill Whitehead.

Wright has been on the 15-day disabled list with a strained hamstring since April 15.
