It’s been a difficult road to recovery for both Bobby Parnell and Vic Black, and both do not seem very close to being activated from the disabled list.
Sandy Alderson told reporters at Citi Field on Thursday Parnell resumed throwing from 60 feet today, and Black threw from 90 feet.
Alderson did not offer a timetable for either to return or to resume their rehab assignments.
Parnell is on the 15-day disabled list as he continues his recovery from Tommy John Surgery. He dealt with hamstring soreness during Spring Training, and most recently was shutdown from his rehab assignment after reporting minor right forearm soreness.
Black is also on the 15-day disabled list with a herniated disc in his neck which has resulted in arm weakness.
