The Mets are closing in on getting their third baseman back.
On Wednesday in Miami, Assistant GM John Ricco said David Wright took live batting practice at the Mets minor league complex in Port St. Lucie today.
In addition, Wright is running, although he isn’t turning and pivoting during his running drills.
The Mets have not specifically defined a return data for Wright, although he could return within a week to ten days, according to SNY’s Gary Cohen.
Wright is on the 15-day disabled list with a mild hamstring he sustained against the Phillies on April 14. He is eligible to return from the disabled list tomorrow.
