His last start came last September against the Astros on September 27 – he allowed only one run on six hits in 5 1/3 innings. He did make a relief appearance against Miami on April 16, allowing one unearned run in 2/3 of an inning. This is Montero’s first career start against Miami – he’s logged 1 2/3 innings in his career against the Marlins.

He pitched well against the Mets in his first start of the year on April 17 at Citi Field when he allowed only one run on one hit in 4 2/3 innings. He’s making his third career start against the Mets tonight – he’s 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA in five career innings against them.
