The Mets officially recalled RHP Rafael Montero from Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday night.
Montero will start tomorrow night against the Marlins.
To make room for Montero on the active roster, the Mets optioned INF Daniel Muno to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Muno only had six at-bats since his contract was purchased on April 17, going 1-for-6 with a stolen base in four games.
By optioning Muno, the Mets are once again playing with a four-man bench, three not counting Anthony Recker.
The Mets will presumably send Montero back to Las Vegas this weekend if they activate David Wright from the disabled list, thus restoring the five-man bench.
