The Mets made a small transaction to bolster their infield depth in the minor leagues on Sunday
The Mets have signed INF Brooks Conrad to a minor league contract, and he’s been assigned to Triple-A Las Vegas, according to MLB Trade Rumors.
Conrad, 35, appeared in 13 games for the Padres last year, going 3-for-30 with a home run. He is a career .200 hitter with a .660 OPS in parts of six seasons with the A’s, Braves, Brewers, Rays and Padres.
In 11 years in the minor leagues, Conrad has hit .265/.348/.477 with 186 home runs and 772 RBI in 5272 plate appearances.
