The injury bug has reached the Mets backup catcher, although this one is not serious at all.
Marc Carig of Newsday is reporting Anthony Recker is dealing with some elbow inflammation. He was seen by team doctors earlier today and the injury is considered minor.
Recker is available tonight if needed.
Recker has played in four games so far this season – he is 0-for-3 with four walks.
