Making his major league debut, Kevin Plawecki will start for the Mets tonight, catch and hit seventh in the order.
And this afternoon, manager Terry Collins said this will be a regular occurrence.
Collins said Plawecki will play every day for the Mets, although Anthony Recker will catch most of the time in day games after a night games.
“You bring a prospects to the big leagues, he plays,” Collins said of Plawecki.
Plawecki said earlier this afternoon he had dinner with Travis d’Arnaud last night to go over things about the team.
