Vic Black could return to the Mets sometime within the next week as he gets closer to reaching full strength.

Michael BaronIn the meantime, Black’s Major League rehab assignment has been moved out of Port St. Lucie and into Binghamton, as the B-Mets announced they’ve added Black to their roster for this afternoon’s game against Harrisburg at NYSEG Stadium.

Black last pitched for the Single-A St. Lucie Mets on Thursday – he pitched a scoreless inning against Brevard County.

Black still has not pitched on back-to-back days, something which Terry Collins has said is required before he is activated from the 15-day disabled list.
