Original Post, 3:58 PM: Two Mets relievers are taking another step closer towards returning to the Mets tonight.
Bobby Parnell and Vic Black are active and available tonight for the St. Lucie Mets against the Brevard County Manatees in Viera, Florida.
Yesterday. Sandy Alderson said both Black and Parnell would soon start their rehabilitation assignments, although Terry Collins recently said Black would begin his assignment at a higher level.
It still remains unclear when either will return, but Terry Collins said they both need to pitch on back-to-back days before its determined when they can come back.
