Bartolo Colon will start for the Mets this afternoon as they look to salvage the final game of their three-game series against the Braves, and head home with a .500 road trip. Here are some notes on Colon ahead of his start on Sunday:
- Colon is 3-0 with a 0.43 ERA in three career starts at Turner Field.
- He is third among active pitchers in wins with 205, trailing only Tim Hudson (214) and CC Sabathia (208).
- Colon joined Tom Glavine, Orlando Hernandez, Warren Spahn, and John Franco as the only pitchers to record at least two wins over the age of 41 in club history.
- Since his age-40 season, Colon has a 3.36 ERA, the 11th-lowest ERA for a starter in Major League history for an age-40 and older season.
