Dillon Gee will start for the Mets as they look to even their series against the Braves in Atlanta tonight. Here are some notes on Gee as he gets set to make his season debut:

  • He has made 46 straight starts of five innings or more, dating back to May 19, 2013, the longest such streak the big leagues.
  • His streak is tied the fourth longest in club history, tied with Pedro Martinez and Tom Seaver.
  • Gee went 7-1 with a 3.34 ERA in games when the Mets scored three or more runs.
  • Gee posted the fourth best ERA in the big leagues when he went 14-6 with a 2.67 ERA over 209 innings between May 30, 2013 and July 9, 2014. He trailed only Clayton KershawZack Greinke, and Adam Wainwright during that stretch.
  • Gee has not lost to Atlanta since June 17, 2013.
