M BaronBoth Vic Black and Bobby Parnell will take more steps towards returning to the big leagues soon.

On Thursday, Sandy Alderson said both Black and Parnell will once again pitch in minor league rehabilitation games over the next couple of days, according to the Daily News.

Both Black (shoulder soreness/weakness) and Parnell (Tommy John Surgery) are on the 15-day disabled list. Black was originally expected to return from the disabled list when eligible on April 12, but Alderson told reporters earlier this week they were not planning on rushing him back to the big leagues.

As for Parnell, he said last month it was possible he could return to the big leagues by mid-April, although he was originally slated to return by May. He has not pitched since Opening Day last year.
