Mets rescind outright assignment of Cesar Puello, placed on the 15-day DL

M BaronLast week, the Mets waived OF Cesar Puello, and announced they had outright him off the 40-man roster once he cleared waivers.

However, on Monday, the club announced they rescinded the outright assignment and put Puello back on the 40-man roster, assigning him to the 15-day disabled list with a stress reaction in his back, retroactive to April 3.

Being that this injury occurred when it did, Puello is on the big league disabled list and will accrue Major League service time as a result.
