R MacLeodCurtis Granderson left Thursday’s Spring Training finale after being hit in the knee by a Lance Lynn fastball. Granderson initially stayed in the game to run the bases, but was removed the following half inning.

It’s the last Grapefruit League contest of the year, with two exhibition games in Texas left before Opening Day, so this may very well just be a precautionary move by the Mets.

Granderson told reporters after the game that he’s experiencing swelling and soreness in his right knee, but, according to Marc Carig, doesn’t seem too worried.
