In the fifth inning of Wednesday’s 5-4 loss to the Cardinals, Juan Lagares, who reportedly close to signing a four-year, $23 million contract extension, made two consecutive running catches going back towards the centerfield wall.
Lagares went 1-for-3 with a strikeout at the plate on Wednesday. He’s hitting .345 this spring.
