Uncertainty continued to surround Vic Black on Monday.

Originally, Black told reporters he was going to throw today, but instead it will be on Tuesday, Mets Assistant GM John Ricco said, according to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York.

Black was originally slated to throw this past Saturday, but never wound up doing so, telling reporters he was still on anti-inflammatory medication.

While Black was optimistic on Twitter over the weekend about his shoulder, it is still unknown whether or not he’ll be ready for Opening Day.

Problems first arose for Black on March 13th when he had a preliminary MRI on his shoulder. While there was no structural damage, the MRI showed inflammation in his shoulder. Black threw for the first time on flat ground on March 17th and initially said he felt good, only to be shut down from there after feeling more pain in his shoulder.
