Agent for Zack Wheeler defends Mets actions

M BaronZack Wheeler’s agent has defended the Mets actions in the treatment of his client.

Wheeler’s agent, BB Abbott, told Adam Rubin of ESPN New York the Mets acted properly and in accordance with doctors as they managed Wheeler’s elbow problems over the course of this tenure with the Mets.

“Anything that happened last year, or any other time Zack has been a Met, has been with complete and full knowledge of the circumstances, and occurred after consultation with qualified orthopedic surgeons,” Abbott told ESPN New York’s Adam Rubin.

    It’s hard to blame the team for an injury when they took a lot of precautions. Gee is a good replacement though, I still feel confident.
