The Mets made additional roster cuts after Tuesday’s 6-4 win over the Marlins, none of which should come as any surprise.
The team announced they’ve optioned both Dilson Herrera and Wilfredo Tovar, re-assigning them to minor league camp.
Herrera has had a difficult spring, going just 1-for-17 with two RBI, recording two walks and four strikeouts in eight games.
Tovar went 4-for-14 with five runs scored in nine Grapefruit League games.
Also re-assigned to the minor league side were Matt Bowman, Tyler Pill, Hansel Robles, and Cody Satterwhite.
There are 46 players remaining in major league camp.
