Bobby Parnell ‘tweaked’ his hamstring, will not throw on Wednesday

Bobby ParnellBobby Parnell “tweaked” his left hamstring, and will not pitch live batting practice today in Port St. Lucie, according to the Bergen Record’s Matt Ehalt.


4:55 pm: According to the Star Ledger’s Mike Vorkunov, Parnell has been dealing with this hamstring strain for ten days, and while he has continued to throw, he hasn’t pitched from a mound in that time.


11:14 am: Ehalt says there are no problems with Parnell’s arm, and he should be able to pitch in a few days.

Parnell missed almost all of the 2013 season after undergoing Tommy John Surgery in April. The team expects Parnell to be available by May.
