Injury update: Duda getting closer, d’Arnaud cut his finger

Lucas Duda is expected to play in his first Grapefruit League game either this coming Friday or Saturday, SNY’s Gary Cohen said on Sunday’s telecast.

Duda – who hasn’t hit in nearly four weeks due to a strained intercostal muscle – has been hitting soft toss and off a tee since last week. He is expected to start taking batting practice tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Travis d’Arnaud left Sunday’s game with a cut on his finger. He did not require stitches, according to the team.
