Update, 4:33 PM: Terry Collins expects Daniel Murphy to return to the Mets line-up on Monday after being hit by a pitch in the hand during Friday’s game against the Detroit Tigers, per ESPN’s Adam Rubin on Twitter.
March 8th, 12:03 PM: Daniel Murphy took batting practice at Tradition Field on Sunday morning for the first time since being hit by a pitch on his hand late last week.
Murphy said his hand is fine, although it’s not clear when he will again play in a major league spring training game.
