After Friday’s 5-4 win over the Tigers, Terry Collins told reporters Lucas Duda could play in a Grapefruit League game within a week.
Duda took 25 swings off a tee and hit soft toss on Friday. He has been hitting off a tee since Wednesday.
Duda strained his intercostal muscle at the start of Spring Training, and has not hit in over three weeks.
