Wilmer Flores left Wednesday’s Spring Training opener in the top of the 5th inning after being hit by a pitch in the wrist from Atlanta Braves pitcher Matt Capps.
Flores went 1-for-2 with a strikeout and an error at shortstop prior to being taken out. Flores was replaced by prospect Matt Reynolds.
Update, 4:24 PM: Flores’ wrist is fine – he was removed from the game for precautionary reasons, Terry Collins told reporters after Wednesday’s game.
